VIDEO DESIGN SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES reQuest V1
File Transfer Utility For The Quantel generationQ Product Range
MELVILLE, NY, Sept 8, 2003-Video Design Software (VDS), a leading developer of broadcast automation software as well as the Liberty paint and animation product line, announces the release of reQuest V1 for Quantel's generationQ range of products, at IBC 2003. reQuest is a file transfer utility that gives the generationQ range access to VDS' extensive industry file support libraries.
reQuest from Video Design Software provides the Quantel generationQ range operator with a sophisticated file transfer utility, allowing direct native file transfer capabilities between Quantel's generationQ range of products and many other industry standard video-graphics and live-to-air systems. With reQuest, file interchange between generationQ and products like Pinnacle Thunder/Lightning has never been easier. reQuest makes the task of transferring video clips, stills and graphic files simple and intuitive. In addition, reQuest supports the updating of database description information where applicable, allowing the generationQ operator to create or update image description data remotely.
"We have received an overwhelming response to our Synapse and Neurons plug-ins on the generationQ range this past year," comments D.R. "Many generationQ clients who enjoy having access to the hundreds of After Effects plug-ins that Synapse gives them had requested that we create a plug-in that will incorporate our renowned system-interface libraries to enhance connectivity between their generationQ products and a variety of industry standard display devices."
reQuest also supports transfer of many other PC file formats such as Photoshop layer files. Cross platform compatibility is assured, as reQuest is supported in the iQ, gQ, eQ, QEffects, QPaintbox Pro, and QEdit Pro environments.

A trial version of reQuest will be shipping on all generationQ products when they leave the Quantel plant.
