MELVILLE, NY, August 25, 2004 - VDS, a leading developer of broadcast automation software, content design applications and plug-in products, announces the release of Neurons 10 for Synapse on Quantel. Synapse is VDS' proprietary plug-in product designed to support After Effects plug-ins within the Quantel user interface. VDS now offers nine distinctive plug-in packages called Neuron Bundles for Synapse, each offering an array of dramatic effects.

Neuron Bundle 10 includes 2 new exciting plug-in packages.
The first set is Furnace for AE from The Foundry, which includes:
Kronos and Steadiness - Kronos uses motion-estimation technology to build in-between frames in a sequence. Kronos can be used to slow down or speed up a clip. Artificial motion blur can be calculated from the motion vectors. Steadiness automatically tracks and removes camera shake, without requiring the user to select tracking points. It can even stabilize a shot where insufficient stable points exist for conventional tracking, or where good data points continually move off the screen during a sequence.
The second set is Conoa's SuperPak which includes:
Conoa 3D and EasyShapes - Conoa 3D provides, full-blown 3D rendering right from within your timeline. EasyShapes gives you spheres, cubes and cylinders rendered with the same renderer as Conoa 3D, but with easier controls and unique cylinder warping and flexing.

All new Quantel products will be shipping with trial versions of Synapse and Neurons bundles already installed.
