VDS Releases Synapse Neuron Bundles 2 and 3 for Quantel generationQ Range
MELVILLE, NY, July 3, 2002 - Video Design Software (VDS), a leading developer of broadcast automation software as well as the Liberty paint and animation product line, will release Neurons 2 and 3, two new effects bundles designed specifically for Synapse on Quantel's iQ and its generationQ graphics and editing products, at IBC 2002. Synapse is VDS' proprietary plug-in product designed to support After Effects plug-ins within the Quantel user interface. VDS now offers three distinctive plug-in packages called Neuron Bundles for Synapse, each offering an array of dramatic effects.

"They have very cleverly tapped into the openness of the Quantel generationQ range to make a huge range of plug-ins available. With this new set alongside the existing plug-in armory, Quantel customers now have access to the creative power of the best plug-ins in the business."
The three Neuron plug-in packages deliver a wide variety of effects for Synapse users. Neuron 1, the original package, includes Boris Continuum Complete, which provides powerful and flexible compositing features for motion graphic artists. Neuron 2 includes unique effects such as Twixtor, ReelSmart Motion Blur, Shade/Shape, SmoothKit, FieldsKit and Video Gogh from RE:Vision Effects, as well as Shine from Trapcode. And Neuron 3 includes the Tinderbox 1, 2 and 3 effects suites from The Foundry, featuring a comprehensive collection of lens flares, distortion effects, cloud and sky generators, painterly effects, matte tools, blurs, wipes, and much more.

All new Quantel generationQ products will be shipping with trial versions of Synapse and Neurons already installed.
