| HotBugs is a Windows 2000/XP application that allows television broadcasters
to automatically generate 'hot' displays of financial data, including current stock prices,
intra-day changes, trade volume and other market information.
|
The product is modular and extremely flexible
and can be easily customized to suit the requirements of individual broadcasters worldwide.
 HotBugs at ROB-TV |
HotBugs supports many standard data providers, including DBC, Bridge, Tibco, Reuters, S&P, and others for the
display of NYSE, AMEX, NASDAQ stocks, indices, and futures, as well as many foreign equities and indices.
 HotBugs User Interface |
The choice of data fields to display is limited only by what is available from the chosen data provider.
Most installations include current price, Absolute and percent change from prior day, closing price, volume,
high, and low. The system will display status flags for trade halts, IPOs, and delayed trading. It can
display full-form, abbreviated, or short-form company names, and logos.
While HotBugs supports full-screen and ticker-type displays, its primary purpose is for displaying financial data in a "bug" format. While HotBugs supports full-screen displays, it is meant to remain on-air for extended periods of time, constantly updating as trade data arrives.
HotBugs is often one component of a larger graphics package incorporating AirPlot and HotBoards.
